Darryl Rutherford Coach Darryl has won the JICBL All-Ontario Championship (2000) and JICBL Championship (2001) as a pitcher. He has been the President of the Tri-City SR men's league since 2000 and is a player coach for the Kitchener Devilrays. Darryl helped coach the Panthers to their most recent IBL Championship in 2001, prior to serving as GM and President (2005-07). In 2008 Darryl left the executive and returned to his love of coaching, where he remains as the Panthers first base coach.
Scott Ballantyne General Manager, KW JR Panthers Scott's most prized season with the KW JR Panthers came in 2010 when they captured the JICBL pennant and championship title. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University's School of Business & Economics, Scott has also been involved with WLU's baseball program for over a decade. As a player he was named MVP (2002) and was the recipient of the award for the Male Contributing Most to Athletics (2004). He was named OUA baseball coach of the year in 2007. Scott has represented Team Canada as an assistant coach at the World University Baseball Championships in 2008 and again in 2010. In 2010 he was named to KW's Top 40 Under 40.
Tim Pegg Field Manager, KW JR Panthers Tim will take the helm of the JR Panthers in 2011 after serving as both an assistant and third base coach dating back to 2001. Tim has helped coach the University of Waterloo Warriors to the OUA semi-final (2010). A broadcasting graduate of Niagara College, he has also been the voice of senior Panthers baseball. Tim is provincially trained as a coach through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP), and plays in the Tri-City Senior Baseball League.
Mike Mulder Coach, KW JR Panthers
Brandon Finlay Equipment Manager Brandon attended St. Benedict's Catholic Secondary School in Cambridge, Ont. where he worked with the men's varsity hockey team for his full four-year tenure. With the Panthers, Brandon deals with all player needs regarding equipment, gear and maintenance.
Tieja MacLaughlin Public and Media Relations Tieja has communications, game-day operations and radio/television broadcast experience working with Wilfrid Laurier Univeristy Athletics, the Kitchener Rangers hockey club and Ottawa Senators Sport and Entertainment. She has been involved in international sporting events including the Vancouver 2010 Olympics, 2010 NFL Pro Bowl and 2010 World JR Hockey Championships. |
